Easter is celebrated at different times in different countries, and in some countries on different weeks. This Sunday, April 12 is Orthodox Easter in Ukraine. Growing up, my experience was very narrowly viewed. It was also without change, the same experience each year.

After growing closer to God, the Christian experience expanded in my personal daily walk. I could no longer limit celebration of Easter to only one day of the year. The more that I understood the Good News of the Resurrection and how it pertained to me, the more I realized how this event changed my life. I did not want to limit it to a Holy Week, once a year. Participating in Holy Week is a great remembrance of the greatest moment in history.

Many times, I have stated that every day should be Easter, should be celebrated, should be lived anew. Easter is about the beginning of a new relationship between God and each person, each human created by this Savior. The story has been retold for more that two thousand years. Most know the story. Each one has the chance to choose to partake in this relationship.

I invite any and all who hunger for the relationship. Jesus is waiting for you. He rose from the dead to have a relationship with you. He is listening.
