The MUCH team wants you to know how valuable your ongoing support is for our massage therapy program.
Your continued support allows disabled children and wounded soldiers access to massage therapy that they cannot afford. Many children and soldiers rely on your support to help them face their physical challenges and prepare for a better life that fosters hope and empowerment.
Natasha is a MUCH massage therapist in northwest Ukraine. She describes the challenges she faces while working with children and soldiers.
“War is terrible,” she says, her expression filled with sorrow. “The war changes people’s lives and freezes their hearts with pain and horror. I provide massage therapy to children, and I hesitate to ask a teenager, ‘Where is your father?’ It’s heartbreaking to hear the answer, ‘My father is no longer alive.’ It’s painful because I have felt this sorrow with that child.
Thank you for supporting MUCH and helping our defenders. May your strength and energy grow. May your kindness and generosity return to you a hundredfold.”

Here are some examples of the work MUCH and Natasha are doing.
1. Denis is 22 years old and is the only survivor of a combat mission in Kursk. His right arm suffered multiple fractures, requiring the installation of a plate and screws.
Unfortunately, the bone healed poorly after the first surgery, but a second surgery was successful. He also sustained wounds to both thighs and the shins of his right leg.
Denis underwent a month of antibiotic treatment. Following this, Natasha began his rehabilitation, which included light massages and passive exercises. They focused on fine motor skills to help with hand movements. Denis no longer experiences pain; he can now walk well after rehabilitation.
2. Igor had a spinal cord injury when falling from a helicopter. He is currently undergoing recovery and rehabilitation.
3. Alex was wounded on his left shoulder and experienced numbness on the right side of his body, extending from the back of his head to his back. He is also dealing with neck stiffness. His injuries necessitated a rehabilitation course, including massage therapy, acupuncture, microstimulation, kinesiotherapy, and shockwave therapy.
