Christmas Fundraiser

MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Family and Friends,

The cost of everything is skyrocketing because of the Russian aggression.

We need your help to continue our existing programs. Our donations declined last year and we are counting on our Christmas Fundraiser to continue our programs next year.

Christmas is right around the corner. The week before Thanksgiving, Sveta and I were in Marganets visiting our three programs for children’s clothing. While talking with the director of the Transition Home, we gave her contributions for the children’s needs that was for two quarters. This totaled $83.00, or in Ukrainian currency, 1,250 grevnya. A big smile came to the directors face. She thanked us and said, “Christmas has come early. The children need winter footwear. This will help very much!” It is not enough to put boots on all twenty of the children who stay at the home for nine months, but it is a start. The fourth quarter contribution is due in December. Please consider helping us increase that contribution to put boots on more little feet. Fifteen dollars would would buy boots for one or one child.

The same day, we visited the orphanage. As we walked closer to the main building entrance, a number of children ran out to greet us. All but one were dressed for the twenty-five degree F weather. The boy ran out to us in a short sleeve shirt, without a hat. Can you imagine the task of keeping 156 children clothed correctly for each season? In 2002, we began the huge task of clothing these children. Twelve years later, we are fighting the economy to keep the children in clothes, shoes, and winter wear. You can help. Ten dollars will buy a nice shirt for a teen, or two children’s shirts. Twenty dollars will buy a pair of jeans. Make your Christmas bright by sending a contribution of any size to help us clothe our MUCH children.
